With over 36,000 residents, our city features a vibrant Caribbean-American influence, resulting in a rich food scene packed with authentic Jamaican, Haitian, and International cuisines. Larger employers and medical services such as Florida Medical Center, Walmart, ALDI, Bank of America, Truist Bank, Ross Dress for Less and Burlington drive a robust daytime consumer market.

Located along the highly traveled State Road 7, between I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, the “We Care” City is centrally located in the “Heart of Broward County” which is one of Florida’s most populous counties! Our downtown area includes thoroughfares such as West Oakland Boulevard and State Road 7 with approximately 100,000 cars passing thru daily. 

The "We Care" City is also home to a commercial industrial park, a community redevelopment district and a growing, diverse business sector. Additionally, it is experiencing significant growth in real estate development with over 45 million in planned and construction projects to be completed in the next few years.
